What is Radiotherapy?

The use of the radial artery, the wrist artery, for coronary angiography and PTCA (Balloon) Stent procedures was first performed in 1989. Currently, around 500 clinical heart vessels around the world continue to use radial angiography instead of the inguinal vein in balloon and stent interventions for coronary vascular angiography. Radial angiography is also known as wrist angiography.

How is Radial Angiography Done?

Before the angiography procedure to be performed on the wrist, the patient’s subcutaneous tissue is anesthetized with local anesthesia. Since it is a 3 mm incision, the patient does not feel pain.
